The diamondplate is very nice. I love the idea of the C500, i'm hooked on this thread. I have to say that the headrack on the 5th wheel servo plate looks off, are you going to put in a new 5th wheel mount, like a scale sliding mount that you can move pins for different locking positions? Anyways it looks good, hurry up and make that cab :D

I'd like to make a mechanical sliding 5th wheel plate. I'm planning on getting a lot of time on this rig at Indy and then plan what needs changing. I think the C500 would be a good first project for a 3D printer. I plan to buy the next generation from maker bot. Maybe I'll just design and get shape ways to print one out. Hmmmm.

That would be very cool to see some more 3D printing action. :bounce: Good luck cant wait to see the finished product.

Good to see you have a sense of humor (& still your sanity) in dealing with the after math... has the cause been determined yet Nate? Have you made a plan yet for the rebuild?

I haven't been keeping up with the board too much lately, kind of more of a winter thing for me, what the **** happened??? Your truck was looking so good.

This truly sucks! It gave me enough of a slap though to make a call to our insurance company right after this happened. I still have to get appraisals done for my stuff to establish value though, which is difficult with scratch builds. When I do the models will be covered in the event of a fire or other natural disaster...so long as it's not a flood or an earthquake or a....blah blah excuse.

I hope you can overcome everything and get back to a normal life soon!

Love watching the truck squat as the excavator loads up.
