 my dozer build

Hi all.. This is my first post. Not having some of the fantastic skills some of you guys have ;) I have always wanted to have a go at a scratch build and not being in a position to purchase an all metal model I decided to give it a go... No access to CNC mill or even a power hacksaw I'm using basic hand tool's.
I have not modeled this on any particular Dozer just a mix of the bits I like although it does look D11 ish :) unfortunately I do not know anything about hydraulics so this is being powered by two geared 24volt 450watt motors with a secondary reduction.. Not sure what scale this would be but its big (1300mm) long and the weight will be around the 90/100 kg.. Blade is 820mm in width, I'm hoping it fits in my van :D Thanks guys.. Col |

Thank you guys for your kind words...
dirtpusher9... Your models are amazing, so much detail I've had to watch your video uploads numerous times 😀 Littleiron... Power drive is using two 450watt geared motors with a second reduction... ESC is a duel 60amp... Battery's are 2x 36amp (running on 24volt) Here's a pic of the drive.. |

Quick update... A while ago I was thinking about a suitable transmitter to run my dozer and didn't want to use a standard plastic one which would be intended for aero or helicopter with computer control I just didn't need so I purchased this 30 year old 6 channel 27MHz for next to nothing... I had a guy work his magic and now it has 8 channel's and is now 2.4MHz...
Two of the spare channel's have three position switches which will run the sound system and lights etc... Now I have a all metal dozer and transmitter :D |

Hi jaden... Thank you for your calculation. Track is 5/8 pitch conveyor chain, Idler's are stock item that are used for rolling large gates on a track... Bottom rollers are floating to keep track in line.. I'll try and find a picture ;)
