CAT 773G

So the "CAT" is out of the hat, and Ive decided that my next in depth Personal build will be the CAT 773G quarry dump, Ive always wanted to build a Quarry dump but was unsure of which model... ive scaled down the 773 and its a perfect fit for my requirements and will work just fine on my personal layout. This build will be in depth no detail will be ignored, with full interior detail including engine and it components, lights, sound, etc.... Gonna scratch build everything except wheels tires and drive-train, Ill have my buddy Keith work his magic with his "metal machine" and Bend me up a nice bed for this big boy and try to get him done for Cabin Fever in April....

Here is the inspiration...

Yea im looking forward to this one, it will be the perfect load to my lowboy cat truck combo, and if you are referring to the small d5 dozers you can talk to Scott SmallHaul here on the forum im sure he can help take care of one for you and bring one with him to the show for you. If your refering to the bigger ones talk to Reg RCP57 he will also tale care of you but im not sure he will personally deliver it unless he plans on surprising us all with his presence.... ;) ..... you wouldnt regret it REG! Show will be EPIC!!!!

Will it be a 3412 or a C27. Both of my Morbafk grinders had C27 in them set at 1050 hp. The two new machines that came in have C32 set at 1125hp.:D

Is it me or does that turbo look way too small for that engine in the picture?

Off topic, if you can 3d print from a picture have I got a job for you of an engine block, trying to get a 1/16 scale Leopard 1 engine printed for a recovery vehicle.

Re: CAT 773G

So i had some time to myself the other day and got around to making the frame

http://i1027.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1ghyc3te.jpg

I liked how it came out considering it was my first time dealing with brass on a bigger scale

http://i1027.photobucket.com/albums/...psok36rfze.jpg

but after succesfully making the one side I realized it was too time consuming to do it this way so i reverted back to good old aluminum

http://i1027.photobucket.com/albums/...psbsjhl9wp.jpg

also finished up engine design and ran the test print... very pleased...

All depends on the application bro, i could use software as simple as sketchup, or autodesk 123d, or solidworks... and thank you, in using every and any min in the day i have left over to try and get it done for April meet..

Ran some prototypes for the front suspension, almost happy with it, still needs tweaking, im trying to get it as close to the real deal while getting functionality out of it

got the double wheel adapter all figured out

http://i1027.photobucket.com/albums/...psxaindspy.jpg

http://i1027.photobucket.com/albums/...ps0ypjapy6.jpg

then i decided to take apart my trans because rc4wd is notorious for sending them with minimal lubrication inside, plus i needed to paint it to match the motor anyway
http://i1027.photobucket.com/albums/...psbnfbqgui.jpg

and i finally got around to adding detail to the motor with some 1/16 aluminum rod and some electrical wiring and paint
