What is the best location to add an oil filter on rc4wd 360L excavator?
It has two return line and one intake to pump. Is is okay/best to add it to intake?

Thanks,

Tom

Re: Best location to add oil filter?

I believe it is usually positioned between the valve block return and the oil tank. Effectively only the oil returning from your cylinders goes through the filter.

I would think that you would want to put the filter in a location so that the oil going out to the system from the pump is clean. That way you are using the cleanest oil possible. If you filter the oil before it goes into the tank, and you get crap in the tank, then the pump will move the dirty oil through the rest of the system.
