Here is a video of how far I have come now. There is still a lot to be done, but progress is being made slowly and steadily.

Looks good, what printer are you printing the parts on, and with what?

Re: Sherman "Calliope"

I actually don't know, I paid to have it done as I don't have the opportunity to print myself.

Now ya knocked over a church to steal their Pipe Organ?
I knew some tankers would slap bigger pipes over the cannon barrels, but this is getting silly.

Great looking rocket launchers!

Think it must be roughly what was thought the first time someone suggested mounting 60 bazookas on the roof of a tank

Then I got a little more done on it and thought it had to go outside for the first time today, so there was just a little video

Re: Sherman "Calliope"

That's a nice looking Sherman with a Clalliope mounted on it.

It was my understanding the the Calliope only used the gun barrel for support, they couldn't elevate the Calliope by lifting the barrel. From what I've read that was a big complaint from the tank crews that had the Calliope mounted on their tank. If they needed to use the big gun at a different elevation, they had to get out and disconnect the link to the Calliope. Not exactly a good thing if you needed the gun NOW.

You can always say you're testing a late-war prototype that would have fixed that issue.

Re: Sherman "Calliope"

It's not true, you actually used the barrel to raise and lower it, but with the first version that my kit is made after, you couldn't shoot with the cannon because there wasn't room for recoil, so later you made a version that stuck over the barrel so the cannon could actually be used.
