Suitable gear mesh

Hello all; I’m at the motor mounting/motor audjusting state and I’m wondering what is a suitable gear mesh for the main drive train? Here is what I have now and I can slide a piece of printer paper through easily enough but not too easy

Basically you just want a very little amount of play. If they are tight it will cause premature wear and excessive motor load. Too loose and premature wear quicker. A piece of paper cut close to same width of gear then ran between gears is basically what I do. Newspaper is thin, printer paper should do. Sandwiche it between gears tighten up and rotate it out.

Ok, will do. I already put the printer paper through it and it went through cleanly. Not too loose, and not too tight.
