WTB SS-Tronix Tx board

a long shot here...I'm looking at a new project but need SS-Tronix TX board for wireless trailer kit to make it compatible with my existing trailers. Unfortunately SS-Tronix no longer in business, can anybody help me with second hand/ unwanted board?

PP waiting

thanks :-)

thanks for the heads up - I really liked the SS-Tronix kit because it also allowed for a servo channel on the trailer. Does the Beier kit allow this? I believe OB-1 system which is also popular doesn't have this option....

you may have to go to the next model up in the line, i'm doing a b double and the truck and both trailers will have sound (reefers) and servo control (landing gear and 5th wheel).

Re: WTB SS-Tronix Tx board

I've had a look at the Beier kit - very compelling with upto 2 servos for trailer functions.

By the time I wanted to go wireless I had already committed to the Tamiya MFU as I was just getting into the hobby, so SS-Tronix was the only real option. I don't recall Beier units were available then (at least not in their current form). However the Beier set up makes complete sense if starting from scratch and you have some experience. The SFR unit is effectively the MFU but at around half the price with more features. Sure you have to make up your own LED wiring but that's straight forward.

Problem for me is that it'll cost around $1,000 to convert everything I have over to Beier (2x trucks, 4x trailers including B-double). Having said that I could recover some of the cost through selling the perfectly decent kit I'll no longer need.

I'll keep looking around for a few months, see if somebody with SS-Tronix board turns up...otherwise I might just fully convert the fleet....

PM sent. You’re in luck. I have a Tx/Rx kit I never used and would be willing to sell.
