Landoll 455
Hi guys,
I wanted to share my Landoll 455 I built. I am almost done, I just have the scale details left. The trailer is all aluminum, three axle, with inlayed maple deck. The axles are modified LESU trailer axles and leaf spring sets. The wheels are the LESU 52mm duallys. The axles slide on linear bearings along with a lead screw and geared motor. The tilt is from two Acruonix linear actuators. I wanted to create something different from the standard low boys and flat beds out there. Thanks for checking it out, Matt Here is a video of it working. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwdj...hannel=Mpmlego http://i.imgur.com/o2HB57Vl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/EfWQRyJl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/A7FisDhl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/fLcnmNyl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/aIogzBBl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/2npk44ol.jpg http://i.imgur.com/SYjIUZil.jpg http://i.imgur.com/IhOqepql.jpg http://i.imgur.com/4TiBhXzl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/IvqIBwCl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/llkvb8pl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/1PZwE6al.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Gr1Petgl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/5pqEEYvl.jpg |
Re: Landoll 455
Very impressive trailer!
Where do you plan to hide the electronics in that? |

Thanks frizzen, To simplify the model, I will be actuating the trailer from the tractor receiver. I will have two servo leads from the linear actuators, one for the sliding ESC, main battery power, and trailer lights through a connector to the tractor. I'll utilize as many common grounds as I can to reduce the number of connections. The trailer neck is hollow in the center to allow me to run the wiring forward. The linear actuators, slide motor, and ESC are all hidden under the trailer bed. |
Re: Landoll 455
That sounds like a lot easier way to handle it. Can't wait for a loading something video
You can get by with just running 1 power and 1 ground for the whole trailer connector, then just run a signal wire for each channel. |

Re: Landoll 455
i'm planning a b double with lights, landing gear, and sound (reefer) . i plan to use a frsky qx7 radio on sbus, and have 2 receivers, 1 for the truck on channels 1-8, the other in the trailer on channels 9-16 and that way you don't need wires in between. i think i can have a 3rd on 17-25 or something for the 2nd trailer

Re: Landoll 455
Here are some updated photos of the setup. I got all the decals in place and the trailer hooked up to the W900L. (W900 build still in progress)

Re: Landoll 455
Kool timing, the people across the street are getting a pool put in and one of these rolled up with the excavator on it. I was thinking what a different take on a low loader... Of course every time they loaded or unloaded it I was gone so never got to see how it worked. You did a great job maybe when my skills catch up with my ideas I'll try one...
