Posting Pictures from Google Pictures

Hi. New new member here.

I figured out how to post pictures to this site from Google Pics. It's actually pretty simple.

Open the image in google pictures
Right click on the image
In the dialog box click "copy image address"
Go to your post and click on the globe (insert Link)
Right click in the box that opens and hit paste.

You should see a big long address but don't let that scare you.

Hit submit and a link will appear. Click on the link and your picture should appear.

The picture is rather large, probably due to it's native resolution. At this point, I'm not sure how to make it smaller.

Might be a good alternative to photo bucket.

Re: Posting Pictures from Google Pictures

I found this, which *should* make using Google slightly easier.
I've seen NOTHING that makes me think they're a good host, so i'm not making an account to test it out.
Everything i've seen makes google seem like a bad choice and it's run quite a few new people off message boards because it's too hard to actually make it work.

----
Upload to Google Drive
Right-click the file(s),
select 'Get Shareable Link', which will be in the format like
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1uN...rjC2LrDfsrJpgv

Substitute
'https://drive.google.com/open?id='
with
'http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id='

Now you can use this URL to insert into the img tags.

Or just get arother image host that works better/easier, and does less data-mining on anything you ever let near them.
