Rc sparks is building a scale gold mining operation. Unfortunately he throws in some of the stupid reality show type garbage occassionally.

I saw a few of these in my suggested videos but couldn't bring myself to watch them. I was afraid I'd see some rc basher guy running big construction equipment without an appreciation for the equipment he has that I can't afford. ****, I think I have turned into a bitter old grumpy codger!

Does driving from in the bed of a haul truck count? ...He only does that for a little bit to prove it's a beast.

I think his ambition for the hobby should be a inspiration for everyone! The guy does spend money like a crazy animal, but hey if you had the money, or better yet MADE that kind of money off of youtube videos Im sure youd be spending the money like that too. He puts out multiple videos a week, keeps a great demeanor and a smiling face the whole time, love it!

I for one love his videos and the fact he has so many people, literally millions of people watching and getting into the hobby. Now this gold mining series he is doing will make a noticable difference in the RC Construction world if I had to guess. Altho I have to say I did make myself a bilge pump powered gold cleanup sluice that I fed paydirt through with my hydraulic Bruder Excavator so I know he wasnt the FIRST one to mine gold with RC Vehicles... BUT he definitely has a large setup with some nice equipment running, if he doesnt have the appreciation for RC construction now, he will very shortly! LOL

Im excited to watch the next episode and see that HUGE dumptruck get filled up with dirt, I can see something bad happening already and cant wait.

I started watching the series and I was wrong! I appreciate the effort in just the filming and editing and it looks like he has a nice collection of construction stuff! I'm envious!

Trust me we are all die hard RC enthusiasts at heart and are amazed and appreciate with the equipment we're running. I've always been more into the scale trail truck arena as it's much more affordable but this series has made me spend a fair bit of money.
I bought Aaron's older 4200XL off him and now have a Small Haul D5 conversion on order. Myself, Joe, and Steve wish we could take all the equipment home but not in the budget unfortunately...... The main thing is we get to have a great time running it and having a couple beer!!
All of us also have Tamiya big rigs and run those on a regular basis around town.

Welcome aboard! I didn't expect one of you to stumble across this post. Thanks for helping make something entertaining, and spending rc money that hard.

I think a lot of us got into in rock crawlers, scalers, then saw the Semi Trucking and Construction scale rabbit hole...

I'm glad there are some that enjoyed the show. It was a lot of effort, and was fun to make.. and come on.. I've got some incredible friends! They made the show as good as it was.. :) It was definitely a risk, and no one has ever attempted anything like this. I hope it has a following, and shows off how cool the radio control hobby is - the scale realism, and the amazing machines that are being created these days. As someone that is always finding new ways to promote this side of the hobby... Im glad to have the support from my friends. Thank you for sharing the series in the forum. It was a nice find for me

I found these videos as a colleague at Work recommended RC Sparks because of lot different cars etc. tested and so on...


Problem is now that I'm looking into a way to get Wheel loader and some of the stuff used in Youtube Gold... We don't have gold here in Denmark but loads of Places this kind of Equipment is used and in my Young days (10-16year old) I was helping a friend in this fathers cut driving wheel loaders with sand and rocks so Youtube Gold brought back lot of fun memories from back then.

One can say that because of RC Sparks Youtube Gold I'm going back to fun with wheel loaders

I'm sooooo looking forward to this year's Youtube Gold!!!

You Tube Gold has been a big inspiration for me.Bought some equipment built a wash plant and conveyer. Only thought RC was for RACING before seeing Medic and crew, Big fan off the show. Hope to have my sight up & running soon.maybe I'll take some video. Rich T. Nano Mining Co.:cool:
