Stock Mercedes-Benz 1850L Build w/ MFU FINISHED!

Ok guys here is a build for one of the guys I build trucks for. He contacted me to build a Tamiya Box Art 1850L with a MFU..So here is a pile of stuff he had droped shipped to me from Stella and Tower Hobbies.

Ok so i am not going to bor you guys with a step by step of a stock build so here is the built roller.

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...wboy/008-2.jpg

And here is a pick of how the MFU fits in the box light tray. It fits very nice witch will allow me to use the King Hauler speaker box in the cab with the shaker so it will have a better sound and a cleaner look in the cab and cleaner wiring..

Ok more to come tomorrow night I hope. I am planing on painting the front bumper and finishing the wiring on Friday sometime and then getting the box and the body half built to start the box art paint job and after that is done all the detail painting of the moldings and the lenses ext. like the manual states.

Paul, are you going to use LiPo batteries in this truck? That is the same radio and MFU combo I have in my Bud truck that wants to start up and then die when you try to start it up. Only way I found to stop this is to keep the left stick-throttle- pushed slightly into forward. The truck will then run for the most part until you have to go into neutral where it will sometimes start its start up and then die routine. Please let me know what you come up with if you get the same results as me if you use LiPos.

Hi All - It sure is weird seeing someone build a model for you. I normally build my own models, but with 3 young children running around, and a large build project (Merc-Benz 1850L + MFU), it would never get finished. I got to know Tamiya Cowboy, when I bought his Tamiya Mamouth Dump Truck from him a few weeks ago. He's a cool dude, and his work looks great. My son & I are looking very forward to when the time come for us to enjoy this model.

Would you put you home theater speakers in the closet. You would muffle the sound just my opinion.

I cut a hole in the front panel of the box, behind the cab, can’t be seen with the cab in place and it sounds the same as if fitted in the cab
