 German wheel compactor

Found this German company that makes this compactor made of metal and thought it was pretty neat. They offer attachments for others models like rippers and buckets for the 4200xl and Magom 1.4 excavator.

looks vey useful. this is an ideal compaction solution for foundation work. you could make stronger roads, bridges, buildings with this. excavator mounted compactors are good for trenches, but not wide areas. I want one of these

They look good, very good, simple design, easy to make.
But I dont know for you guys, but if I would build something like this, I would use steel, not alu. I guess more weight is a plus for something that needs to compact ground? I guess all manufactures make lighter models, as they are cheaper to ship, and dont need strong motors to get them move around. |
