Justin's "Ford F-350 Flatbed" Crawling Hauler...

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...LATBED/411.png

I have been wanting to make a hauler for while. My inspiration was Microgoat's Rollback tow truck and Freddy Gear Drive's F350 Dually.

Body...

Axial Axles...
  • Alum C-Hubs
  • Alum Rear Lockouts
  • Axial HD Diff gear (Rear only for now)
  • RCP locker (Rear)
  • Tamiya leaf springs
  • RC4WD leaf spring mounts
Electronics...
Wheels & Tires...
Drive train...Specs...
  • 19" Wheelbase
  • Flat bed

Re: Justin's "Ford F-350 Flatbed" Crawling Hauler...

The body is sitting a bit high, will try to be lowering it about .5".
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...D/IMG_8890.jpg

I will be using RC4WD seats.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...D/IMG_8892.jpg

Not sure if I will be running the Tamiya Semi gas tanks but they look pretty cool. :)
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...D/IMG_8887.jpg

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...D/IMG_8902.jpg

Make some leaf spring mounts out of steel, seems to do the job.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...D/IMG_8904.jpg
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...D/IMG_8906.jpg

Rear axle, might be adding two more helper springs....my scalers are pretty heavy.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...D/IMG_8907.jpg

I also might be doing a sway bar setup on the rear axle, need to test drive it first before I do that.

Got a bit more work done. Funny thing, after running no mirrors on my scalers, it was kinda fun putting them on this truck.:D
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...D/IMG_8921.jpg

Filled in the back of the cab, now for some bondo. Also dropped the cab about .3".
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...D/IMG_8927.jpg

Got some F-350 emblems from RC4WD, dang there pretty sweet.

Got part of the floor done.

The cab mounts to the pieces of delrin.

Re: Justin's "Ford F-350 Flatbed" Crawling Hauler...

Picked up a super long driveshaft setup from gardentrucking.com
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...ps88c8c075.jpg

Swapped in a Dinky RC hilux interior for the seats and took my Ford dash out of my F-350 Truggy.

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...ps9f78368e.jpg

I wanted it a little stiffer in the rear so I put some shocks in. There some old tamiya TT01 shocks with SCX10 spirngs.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...ps557668e5.jpg

Started the bed and headache rack.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...ps33757cb4.jpg

The styrene was just for testing, still need to pick up some more .5"x.15" wood from the hobby shop.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...ps833743ee.jpg
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...psa5f4b438.jpg

Don't mind the tamiya semi bumper, I will be making a beefy metal bumper later.;)
