Did you notice the trash can and boards I used for a saw table. I also had to use one of my tool carts and a piece of plywood for a stand for the mill drill but hay it is on wheeles that way I can move it around easy.:D

Re: My tools and work area

Wow it has been a while since I have visited this thread. Since my last post here I have added a new work bench last fall and yesterday I got some new stuff for the mill.
The new bench. http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/s...01126-1353.jpg http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/s...01126-1800.jpg The new tools. Vice! http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/s...4/100_0979.jpg Replacing this POS! http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/s...4/100_0980.jpg Clamp set. http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/s...4/100_0978.jpg And what you can't see is the conversion kit for the mill to make it a true inch table. Before one turn of the crank = .0625 and now one turn = .050 making it much easier to keep track of what you are doing. I have also been using cent bits as I call them to start my holes so I get the hole exactly where I want it. Yes it is a pain to start the hole then change to the drill bit to finish the hole but the final product is a lot nicer. Here is a pic of what I am talking about. http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/s...4/100_0981.jpg Thanks for looking. Travis |

I got home today and found a package on the front porch, my new R8 collet set.:D Now I should be able to see what my little mill is capable of. Here is a pic of what I got. Sizes 1/8-7/8 in 1/16 intervals.

Hey Travis it looks very close to my lathe from Micro mark http://www.micromark.com/microlux-7x...athe,9615.html
The tool holder that came with it is about 2 inches square And this is the quick change tool post I have http://www.micromark.com/Quick-Chang...Post,8077.html |

Nice addition Travis ..I bought that same exact one off a guy on CL last fall ..Im very happy with it ..I did get a 1/2 inch drill chuck but am looking for something smaller to fit in between centers ..I saw that you can get a bed extention thats adaptable for these smaller lathes ..Little machine shop..
