Polishing aluminum

Does anyone have a good trick for polishing aluminum up to a nice mirror like finish? I've tried a few different things. #0000 steel wool, some different liquids, but none of them seem to get it to the next level.
Thanks,
Hockeydad

Yes sir I do...

I am assuming that these are the rims you are talking about mainly.

If the rims are machine finished ( meaning you can see machining marks in them) then they will have to be sanded first.

If they are finished but just not real shinny then get a good aluminum polish and pads such as these.. Click Here

Hey Bryan...What are you trying to polish...Depends on how good the aluminum grade is anyway....This was before wet sanding...
