You are correct it would be a good start for the Aliens APC,the APC was built from a de-ballasted ex British Airways Douglas DC12 air tug.

				Well after much thoght the original brass build was scrapped due to major weight issues but started again in plasticard

The groove for the O-ring is square no need to be rounded,just ensure you dont make the groove too tight width ways, you have to allow room for the o-ring to compress.

				Well after a layoff finally got back to doing a bit,turns out the real truck lives 5 miles from me and thanks to the owner managed to take over 100 pictures to help with the build.

The gears are the original pump gears and the cavity they sit in is the original   
Basically all you are doing is removing the bulk of the original pump and fitting a couple of end plates.

Get along to your local hydraulics repair shop and ask if you can have one or two of there old pumps prefrebly small ones
