This arrived this week after modifying the output shaft to 4mm it works great,heaps of power and would recommend it for other 740dumpers. Some mods are required but its worth it.

Hi Joe, in that area there is no phone coverage so you have to wait for someone to come along. In our trucks we carry Sat phone just incase something go wrong.

The gearing on the motors are still under test, new gears are on the way to me now and will provide even more torque than now. At the moment it will push about 30-40kg on...

I had a look at that but it is only 10mm so it will only leave 1mm and would tear out before I could blink:mad:
I had thought if I can't find a carden to do the job I could try and hold...

I need a geared motor that will do about 600-700rpm and have enough grunt to drive when loaded.
The original gearbox will do 500rpm,...

Here is another vid showing a bit of power pushing a trolley (about 40kg) on concrete.
The blade weighs nearly 4kg on it's own(steel) and I think this is the issue for turning as when the blade is...

Thanks for the good comments,
Trying to get it to turn on the spot is a problem at the moment.
12v at the battery and after the servonaut m220 only 8.5v at the motors not sure why. any ideas?

Ok It's been a long time coming but this week it runs for the first time.:)
I think the sealed battery used is not suitable, I will continue to test the drive system with other types of batteries...

Today we was able to hook up the speed controller to do a small motor drive test. Maybe next week a rolling test?

The speed controller I will be using is a Servonaut M220 for tracked models.
I think to be honest the Wedico float will die a crushing death but will put it on to have a look anyway. One...

I dug out the spec sheet and found that my memory must be fading:(, the motors max current is 9amps and do 60RPM, a little better than I remembered.

Out of the box it need some mods.
To get better performance you need the chains for driving instead of the belts. The brushless motor gives better digging and faster speed.
I have done these mods...
