One of the old Crane Carriers i ran across a while back had a 1-man cab with big rectangle truck mirror mounted normally to cab on the street-side, then on curb-side it had the rectangle mirror...

I've seen a few dump trucks that have the side mirror mounted from the Cab Protector

Yeah, I'm not saying mine looks all that great, but i thought it goes along with wide bed overhangs better than having no mirrors. (It's bad enough my driver still has no windshield)

On this rig I was just aiming for something that "could" see around the box pretty well, but not need straightened constantly. Mirror hinges somewhere around the sides of the box looked close enough...
