I use all aluminum for my cylinders the tube is usually .064 wall and the ends are welded in with a welding rod that uses propane or map gas torches. Many laugh at me but the cylinders...

I always use Festo fittings the small series have 4 and 6MM lines the fitting has one end threaded 5mm (I use a 8-32 tape, and 1/8 NPT, the other end is a push in for the tube. Elbows come...

Looking good I built a twin engine Euclid scraper years ago, it was fun. Already asked did you buy the hydraulic pump or build it. I'm building my own pumps but having problems with driving motors...
