Re: Tamiya 3 Speed..... Love It or Hate It?

Stock Tamiya trans can be modified with a longer shaft to make it AWD. Got mine from Semi Joe a couple of years ago. I used a RC4WD reduction unit between it and the motor. Works great.

Nice model! History of this dozer is interesting since I was not aware of its existence. Very cool. Hope you will be able to post the pictures because we always like to see how the insides work.

Re: Demag TC 500 truck crane in scale 1/24

That is one great piece of work! I'm sure the upper works will be awesome, as well. I've really enjoyed seeing this come together.

Re: Great winter in a small town Zipilandia Scale Park

Fun to play in the snow! Your movie making and scenery skills are as good as the quality of the models and the model park. Always interesting to see your videos!

Re: JENZ wood chipper

Amazing is just the beginning of a description! Not only does it really chip, with all the individual functions from turning the cab to positioning the discharge chute, I am baffled as to how there...

Re: Dump trailer slams into bridge!!

It's not just highway trucks. Numerous instances of quarry trucks taking down conveyors with a raised bed. My favorite is a quarry truck going downhill into an underground facility, bed up, hit the...

Re: Awesome model of a Norwegian excavator

Nicely done. It is something different than I've seen, with the steel front wheels, but very interesting. Thanks for posting!

Re: Fresh Take

Wow! Now that is some wild stuff. Check YouTube for Mecanum Wheels and you'll find a variety of applications. Don't see it in dirt, sand or rock, but any finished surface would work - especially...

Re: PC1800 Front Shovel (1/12)

KP, glad to hear you found the problem. As Mario said, getting stumped by the unusual is normal in heavy equipment repair though I really enjoy working through a problem and (hopefully) figuring it...

Re: Canadian Litehawk 1/14 loader & dumper

The truck was originally an Arctic Hobby Landrider now listed as a Hobby Engine, on Ebay. It is 1/24 scale and is a toy-level RC unit. I have one that I upgraded with bearings and cheap hobby...

Re: PC1800 Front Shovel (1/12)

Been pondering this... I was looking at Test #4 and you said it was delivering 3000 cc/min at 220 PSI, in neutral. I don't understand that with the valve in neutral the system is loaded so much. ...

Re: PC1800 Front Shovel (1/12)

Interesting?!?! Have you confirmed the volume of oil being supplied by the pump? Disconnect the return line at the tank and put a container that is calibrated or that you can measure the actual...

Re: PC1800 Front Shovel (1/12)

The hydraulic stuff can get confusing very quickly. Yes, a fixed displacement pump will deliver same volume for same pump speed, but if divided between circuits, each circuit gets only a part of...

Re: Demag TC 500 truck crane in scale 1/24

This is a super build! With limited space you have still figured ways to make things work. Love all the mechanisms that make this crane tick and the detail.

Your bucket may be heavier than others, but the detail is great! It looks just like the real thing.

Re: Great Dane excavating co.
