Rhys, spending $250 AUD seems like overkill to me, for an ESC and motor. A little more information would be helpful.

Are you planning on using the stock transmission? ESC's aren't too expensive....

Yes it did. The truck was a lot more manageable after making the change. In first gear I can creep very slowly. I just checked eBay and saw motors up to 85T for $25.

I had the same problem with my King Hauler. I ended up getting a 65T motor. More torque and lower speed.

Ok, that helps. If your servos don't have metal gears, get some that do.

If your servos have metal gears, you I would look into getting, or building some type of dampener. In my mind, I'm thinking...

If I under this correctly, this device will alter the voltage signal going to the steering servo. As the truck speed increases, the maximum voltage to the steering servo decreases.
