Re: 1/10 scale heavy truck- power consumption...

I'm with Wombii here. My 1/10 trucks (Even the 4x4 ones) are regularly drawing 10-20A just moving. My 10x10 has a dual 100A ESC running the two motors (Combined 200A ESC for the drive). I haven't...

Re: Question about hydraulics and speed

Thank you, I'll have to look into that when I've got my actual computer to do the order.

Re: Question about hydraulics and speed

And now I have another question: Hydraulic lines with T-couplers in them. Does anyone do this and/or know where I can get 2mm T-couplers? I have 4 sets of pistons running in parallel, and would like...

I see...I did my math very wrong...I forgot to convert...so yeah, that's plenty fast enough. Thank you.

Re: Question about hydraulics and speed

4 cylinders, 10mm bore, 4mm shafts, 30mm stroke. 4mm hose coming down the upper links. The pump only has a 140cc flow rate. All four pistons are on the same valve.

Re: Anyone else work with 1./10 scale tanks?

I do not, but I am building a 1:10 10x10 recovery truck that should be able to comfortably recover those things, should I ever see them get stuck in person.

Re: 1/10th Scale?

Yeah, it seems like 1:12 and 1:14 is it unless you want to custom fabricate stuff.

Re: The start of an MMRS Demonstrator

I've invested more into this truck than my other two crawlers and 3 drones. I'm not stopping just because I broke some styrene. The hydraulic pump just arrived yesterday, so I can start figuring out...

Question about hydraulics and speed

I have a large truck I am building, which due to weight, I intend to put hydraulic steering on. The pump I have is 140cc/minute flow rate, and each of the 4 pistons is 10cc, obviously that gives me a...

The start of an MMRS Demonstrator

Here is is, my first real build. Standing 12" wide and 11" tall to the top of the cab, at 50" in length, here it is.

First the prototype I'm working from.

Re: Recommendation on TX system for a crane

I think that the Commander is excessive, the Taranis is probably more than enough. A dual reciever would also probably allow me to split the arduino load to 2 separate arduinos.

Re: Recommendation on TX system for a crane

Yeah, I'll definitely be using an Arduino of my own. I'm not exactly sure how to do that though. The switching four channels on the fly would be great for flipping the sticks from crane to truck...

Re: Recommendation on TX system for a crane

Qx7 or taranis, or for a bit more, Horus? Are all three of these stick radios?

And what is a 3d stick?

Bigdogrod, 12 at a time is plenty. I need a set of 5 for the crane itself, 4 (maybe 5 if...

Re: Recommendation on TX system for a crane

I've looked into spectrum. Unfortunately it appears that they have discontinued their 12+ channel remotes. And I'm not sure I want to deal with a used remote.

Recommendation on TX system for a crane

I am currently building a (completely custom) 10x10 MMRS Demonstrator crane, and I need an RX/TX system to control it.

Throttle (+ smoke, hydraulic pump Arduino controlled)
Steering (+ rear-steer...

Re: Independent Suspension on five axles

Next update. Having spoken to several Army mechanics, I will be following their advice and going back to straight axles, like the military has been doing for all of their larger trucks. No more...

I'm actually looking at making my own hazard light controller out of a 555 timer and some resistors dead-bugged and soaked in plastidip.

Are there any groups in the Phoenix AZ area for these big trucks? I've been trying to find one on FB, but I'm not finding anything.

That is super impressive. I may have to look into those lenses myself, to do the taillight caps on my 10x10 project.
