So I got to work on the driveshafts and the dump drive....I found some WPL driveshafts that fit perfectly into a piece of 5/16 precision aluminum tubing....

Not sure on Photobucket haven't used it in years ... but on Flicker you go to share and then copy the "BBcode" then come back here and paste it into your post... if you want you can delete everything...

Ok.... this was my first RC conversion I did it about 3 years ago... everything worked....but looking back it didn't look the greatest but I learned a lot...
I realize most of this will be old hat...

I also wondered where folks get lenses from. I wanted some headlight lens, I'm pretty sure 3D printed ones would be cloudy, never thought about casting them...

RC tank setups I think would work but you only have about an inch from the axle to the bottom of the frame...
I have some 90 degree motors coming for another project but I want to see if they will...

Yeah I have that one bookmarked to refer back to....but yeah I have noway of building that type of gearbox.
I've thought of using a couple of these to make a pair of gearboxes ...

I think the space between your frame rails might dictate what you use...
The heavy duty planetary gear motors are over 100mm long but they have the torque your going to need. The 90 degree worm...

Yeah... That's where I'm at, I need to build a bigger loader or excavator so I can load my dump trucks....the little delta loader is fun but takes a long time to load the Western star and I have to...

This time around I'm going to use some screw drives from a Huina 580 these are showing great promise and a T8 lead screw.... I have a t6 to try but it's giving me problems...I also have a 3D printer...

Thanks, It was my first build and I've learned a lot in the last 2 years. As a matter-o-fact I'm in the process of rebuilding it and cleaning it up. I'll get a build thread going here pretty soon....

I've only used their light bezels so far but they were top notch. I would expect the rest of his stuff to be the same....Plus he is pretty responsive when you ask a question...
