might try some 2 inch rigid foam 2 layers on lid use 2by 4 on each side just temp till u get permanent could glue to concrete to lid with pl 400 :)

so joe just some advice when you get to the foundation you want to protect yourself from the dust from concrete it is VERY VERY bad for you can cuase cancer from silica use a heppa mask with purple...

hi joe i saw one of your post of damp conditions have you thought of a humidifyer (bad spelling lol ) might be good for both moister and as a iv to keep ground moist for easy digging ?

the plywood looks like it pressure treated should be ok for a few years hehe some of that would can take 15 20 years in the ground depends on material thickness and how well it was soaked works good...
