I was looking at the Bruder as well and I am impressed by that machine. Seems to have smooth movement and good power.

I have already ordered the Hobby Engine, I will do the conversion on it basically to learn the basics of doing conversions. Since the Hobby Engine is pretty cheap, I figured it is a good way to learn.
