What?! 2 weeks with no updates? Unacceptable! Your guests are just going to have to sleep in the shed. Lol

I would only suggest trying a center punch for drilling the holes. Sounds like if you have a vice and a hand drill you might be better off with that as opposed to the dremel setup.
