If one does a little research, you can find a number of places that tell you how to configure a digital trim radio to work with the Tamiya MFC. It is just a matter of assigning a switch and adjusting the dual rates. And with that knowledge if you understand how to program the radio... One could make a computerized radio such as the Fly Sky FS GT3R pistol grip radio work with the MFU. And with 2.4 spread spectrum technology, people on the same channel are a thing of the past!
Although I do LOVE the custom programmability of the FrSky Taranis Plus (16 channels that are independently controlled for $250)
IMHO Tamiya needs to update the MFU to include low volt cut off for using LiPo batteries, as it currently lacks this and I do not own NiCads.
