I actually have talked to the manufacturer about getting a Pete kit (a year ago or so). He is in Tennessee. You can read all about it at
Lil Big Rig. The reason for the Ford (and it must be an F250, extended cab) is the front axle on the Ford is further forward - giving the Pete the proper look. He is very specific on what years his kit will fit, and they are getting older and cheaper to pick up (pun intended). I have never owned a diesel so I thought this would be a fun project - but finances stopped me from going forward.
