Just caught this thread, drill press and trying to machine something doesn't work. Too much slop in drill press. I started that way and very quickly realized the tolerances just aren't there to do what we are trying to achieve. It can be done but the outcome isn't pretty. If it's something that needs done to make a part work , yup possible, but if clean lines and presentation are the goal it doesn't come out well. Speed isn't as much an issue as you can just cut slower but slop in drill head/table/vice are issue.

Cool build and I'll keep watching as it looks like a mean machine!!!!
