Would love your opinion on what is good and what could be better.
Bahahah ..yup never enough dozers..RW I bought the the dozer expecting to do some mods and pretty much knew I would have repairs ..Kind of like their excavator
..The first day i had it out I ended up breaking a track link so it sat for a few weeks while I ordered them up ...kind of my fault because of wet material and I didn't keep the rails clear .track links could be a little tougher .You may want to get them to send a few extras ..I did talk to a guy in new zealand that has one too and he was having track problems as well ..he said his pins were getting loose and falling out ..I took my tracks off and locktited all the spline pims and so far havent had any issues
Very heavy (you will be surprised when you go to lift it out of the box ) and super strong gear motors ..you will break something before you stall them ..the second time i used it I was pushing on a pile and dozer was leaning to the right ..I noticed some fluid leaking while the machine was leaning ..After inspection i noticed it was coming from a tank vent ..they have a short piece of clear tubing connected to a barrb fiting on the top of the hydraulic tank .there is a link on rc4wd that has a good breakdown of how everything goes together ..Took everything apart and machined a slot in the bottom of the fuel tank for the tank vent tubing to tee into the filler tubing ..this seems to have fixed the problem ..make sure you vent the oil tank filler cap
When taking the panels off a lot of the allen cap screws were stripping out where the tool inserts .cheap soft steel .may want to order some decent metric hardware
You will end up reconfiguring the radio right away ..they had left stick left track right stick right track..now i run throttle on both tracks and rudder turn left and right ...not sure how you run your D11 tho .. I was having a **** of time trying to mix the radio with pump and valves ..Even Joe couldn't get it figured out I am thinking of swapping out the receiver in it soon and getting rid of that radio..I don't think Joe was very impressed with it as he didnt run it long ..He prefered the International TD 25 (:
Overall I think its a good buy for the price and you having the knowledge and skills to make it better and keep it running ..get rid of the blade and you have a nice looking scale machine ..Btw the fella from New zealand ended up buying another tilt cylinder and fittings from Eagle and installed them .He uses his machine hard .heres a link
