I'd feel pretty comfortable with trying a pull with the 'glass reinforced bondo. The green one with chopped fibers.
It's a little harder to work than bondo because it's stringy, and it'll probably be a thicker wall than you could pull with straight 'glass, but should hold better detail. Try to get it perfect before it cures, sanding sucks.
