Jerry, at some point getting more of a production loading machine seemed like a good idea. 15 min load time is reasonable in full scale, but that's a long time in rc!
Thanks bigpipespete! It's a Nylint that will be getting a WPL/JJRC 6x6 under it. It's a little small for running with the 1/14 semis, but looks close enough for construction toys. Little grille work, and a repaint should do wonders for it
He picked up another JJRC soviet Studebaker US6 clone, set of billet Aluminum wpl axles. Now we can start the game of what upgrades to get. Giving the suggestion list from post #10 didn't seem to happen, so we'll probably have to "Johnny Cash" this build.
Some life happened again, so hitting the deadline to go play Trucks with others didn't matter. Then this forum crashed. Where else do you like going to talk toy trucks?
Anyway might as well show off some jobsite accessories: Fuel rack and a Telescoping light tower
Lemax (that does 'Spooky town' and 'Christmas town' decorations as found in the craft / sewing style hobby shops) makes these light towers, run on 3AA. 5 seperate light heads, and the rack can be aimed as needed, telescoping mast.
The fuel barrel was originally full of some 'slime'. Then the rack was made from either chopsticks or bamboo skewers
