For a seagrave tractor ariel, i'd probably start with which ever tractor kit was best price, maybe buy a trailer kit but probably just some trailer parts kingpin, rails, axle. Is it a tiller or straight axle?

Then i'd go buy a pile of styrene sheets of various thickness, bondene or tenax. Then spend a LONG time with copy paper making sure i was happy with axle width, tire size, and planned body scale before i started cutting plastic.

I'd probably also try to contact seagrave, tell them the plan, and see if they might be willing to share some dimentions or drawings to build a one-off.

Also, i'm probably going to ask you for many pics of your American LaFrance, i'm wanting to build a 900 series.
