It's been in the 65-80 degree range here since summer. If this keeps up, those of us in the south-west are going to be in for on H@LL of a Fire-Season; not to mention that we still have an on-going drought that is only going to get worse with weather like this. We could use some snow on the mountains to fill the aqueducts out here.
Most people believe that rain is where we get our drinking water reserves from, but the truth is that rain is fast and lost in run off. The water-tables are filled by the snow. With the slow, time-extensive thaw it allows the run off to be collected and utilized for the greater good.
