Default Re: 1950s FWD fire engine

This was the engine I trained and served on from 1972 - 1976. "High Fenders" was retired and replaced with a new yellow Mack pumper.
The FWD had a 5" straight exhaust and on a clear night I could hear that big gas engine start inside the station from home. Over a mile away. Fire trucks had personality back then.
