candy purple KW W900A project

today I thought I might start documenting my build as this is my very first RC Truck that I,m very excited to start. first off i just completed the chassis, which I plan to stretch 6" that I,m still waiting to cut. Then for the mechanicle section of the build I so far have two HITECH servos, a DX6I with battries, the trailer light kit, and by mistake two truck electricle units now after some previous browsing are now invalid to me. So in the mean time I'll figure out how to sell those later and get a MFU .

Also!, Just yesterday I came across my sisters nail polishes(they were in the living room and I was cleaning up the house). After looking at the different colours of heavy metal flake's, Candy's and mettalic's, I really thought about doing my truck in a deep candy purple with lighter purple seminole, edged in hot pink, Using those nailpolshes . So after doing some research, I found that there were lots of model cars and trucks done in it in forums and stuff . Then I came accross a turtorial on how to do it (http://modelpaint.tripod.com/nailpolish101.htm ) . But before I even think about trying it down the road I wanna know what you guys think about it, just to be on the safe side.

All I know is nailpolish chips easy, I've used to mark stuff on motors when I've done jobs and sometimes the marks chip right off with little effort.

IMHO, if I had thoughts of painting my truck with 2 shades of purple and one of pink nail polish, I would see a doctor

I takes a good man to paint his rig pink & purple cause the crap he will get from his mates, but that's the kind of colour that will get it notice by everyone, look at SnP's KW it stands out from the rest cause it is different from the usual black/blue/yellow/red/white rigs...

Haha I take no offence to joe, its all kewl but I just wanna do the two shades of purple in it because it has that heavy metal flake, then do pink pinstriping around the seminole. The reason for the colors is that my dads W900L is purple, so I wanted to follow it

GO FOR IT BUDDY!!! That's what this great hobby is all about...THE SHOCK FACTOR. Do it your way, because if we all did the same, it would get boring very fast.

hay now , there's nothing wrong with the "girl" colors on a guys truck ever see a guy driving a pink cement mixer ? Joe , I'm sure you've seen it down your way . Berks Products got 1 painted up in the -est cancer theme . I just saw a purple W900 today , heavy on the metal flake , not to bad

hey when i use to put model cars together i used nail polish with clear coat over and let me tell you when i entered them in competition i got more looks and people were interested in the colours and when they read in the description that it was nail polish used they were quite in awe with the fact that somebody did this..besides they make nice colours and like the guys say build for yourself not for what others want to see...your builds are all about YOU...just had to add my 1 1/4 cents

Nothing wrong with purple trucks. I know of some really sharp ones. I'd consider painting mine purple too, but not probably not solid.

Ok guys leave him alone. We all know that's a nice case tho, John has a matching pursahh...."European Shoulder Bag"/"sachel" that matches it really well for his controllers. Indian Jones carried one. The pink and purple combo brings out the color of his eyes LOL. Don't worry Jon I got your back buddy. Pink is the new Black.
