Carson rotating beacon questions

Have a set of the Carson rotating beacons that I'd like to use without plugging into a receiver. So I tried powering direct from 6 volts and the lights are all on but do not run the sequence / rotate. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I have similar beacons. They are wired of ch 5 on receiver unit. My beacons requires the 3rd wire in wiring harness, this is how the transmitter tells the beacons how to respond. A 2 wire set up will not work on mine. My transmitter is a futuba sport and channel 6 is a toggle switch which steps the beacons through their various settings
