Hi my name is Jack, i`m new to the forums but have been surrounded by industry from a young age. I have great love for logging and the equipment used in it and have always wanted to build some of my own working models like my grandad use to when I was a kid. Except unlike my grandads models I intend to make fully working rc models rather than static ones. I have some engineering knowledge but would greatly appreciate any help and assistance especially with the RC set up as I have never done one from scratch.

I just have a quick question what scale do people usually use when creating construction and logging equipment? |

Hello Jack, the common scale is 14th, as that's what the trk kits are & most of the constr machinery is tailored to work with them. Check out RcLogger and tracksandtreadslou in the Constr Equip forum, both have logging backgrounds from the BC area & have built various rc model logging machines... my best advice for you is start reading, there are threads full of information that spell everything out clearly.

Thank you for your advice ill look up some of the old threads and see how people have built things in the past and then get the plans i derw scaled properly.
