Cool video! Thanks for sharing. They just keep getting bigger and bigger. I love the shot of it coming out of the garage. It JUST fits it seems. After watching this it makes me wonder about those ETF concept haul trucks I remember seeing 3D renderings of a few years ago...

Wow! Should I scrap my 350 Payhauler and start over? The Belaz truck in 1:14 would be 2.5 times bigger than my truck - 58" long X 23" tall X 28" wide! And tires would be 11" diameter. But, you should have room to hide all the components. Of course, once built you'd have to find something to load it - maybe a walking dragline from Pennsylvania?

My favorite part is when the guy actually mentions " fuel savings" !! ![]() Imagine how much fuel this thing must drink in a shift ![]() Ugly looking thing.... But, who said hauling 450 tons had to be pretty. ![]() Mario |

The BelAz 75710 has a conventional two-axle setup, but with dualled wheels (like a scaled-up International Payhauler 350), hence it needs eight 59/80 R63 tyres.[1] Unusually, it has four-wheel drive and four-wheel hydraulic steering. The turning radius is claimed to be 20 metres. |

Truck has two engines, but when running empty one shuts down - guess that's the fuel savings?!? Did you notice how it steers? Both axles are solid (no steering knuckles) but are mounted on really big swing bearings like an excavator and rotate in opposite directions via hydraulic cylinders - kind of like an articulated wheel loader without the hinged main frame. Ultra cool!

A truck engineer friend of mine (from the old Haulpak group) once told me the perfect truck was one you loaded all day and then made one trip at the end. This Belza truck is apparently trying to be that truck. Certainly an amazing engineering and manufacturing accomplishment. Ken
