So i am looking forward to building a RC dump truck and saw a Bruder Mack Granite Half Pipe dump truck for about half the price. Some sort of sale and its brand new! I was looking for parts and as i have a bruder semi already and the rails seem to be pretty strong, i am going to keep the rails as they are until they give out

![]() Parts I am looking at so far are: Double rear axle with built in motors from Magomhrc http://www.magomhrc.com/en/transmiss...der-truck.html Front axle with built in motor from Magomhrc http://www.magomhrc.com/en/transmiss...der-truck.html Aluminum Rear wheels from eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/201572982339...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Metal front wheels from RPPHobby http://www.rpphobby.com/product_p/tam56517.htm Regular sized tires for the rear end from eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/361741292000...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Super wide Commercial tires for the front from Rc4wd http://store.rc4wd.com/Hauler-Super-...es_p_1784.html Either going csmi or firgelli http://www.csmi.com.au/index.php?rou...earch=actuator http://www.actuonix.com/L16-R-Miniat...RC-p/l16-r.htm Then for lights i have a offbrand truck light kit from who knows where. 45A Speed control so each motor has enough power. http://www.magomhrc.com/en/speed-con...trol-45-a.html I am not sure if its a good idea or not but i was thinking to put all three motors to the one speed control? For steering i am using a Traxxas 2075. Its a high torque servo and im gonna need the power! I dont think im missing anything but i hope to have pictures soon! I have ordered the truck already and am going to be purchasing the axles soon! Please let me know if the parts i have listed will be good for this build! |

			Hi RcBruder!

I think you will be fine with running all three motors on the same speed controller. I run four on the same controller in my version. For inspiration you could have a look at my low-cost build here: - http://www.scale4x4rc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=80393 It's not the same Bruder truck, but I believe the rear end is exactly the same. The front end is a bit different. I wish I had used your Bruder model for the build. It looks much better, IMHO. All the 3D-printed parts are downloadable for free, just click the links in one of the later posts. Best regards, Stein :-) |

Love the way it turned out! The only problem is i am not sure that i can use that same idea to dump the bed as its curved and it may not mount right. Thanks though! Love the drive setup.

I run 4 brushed motors on a 15amp esc in my Stahl wheel loader & 6 brushed motors on 2x12 Sabertooth, 2nd motor controller runs the pump. No problems stalling out or the esc ever getting too hot.

Alright. Thanks a lot. I don't want my truck to heat up at all as bruder is plastic, and not metal. I am also going to be buying a 1inch fan and putting it in the back wall of the cab to add airflow through there. I hope it turns out OK.
