Mercedes Actros SLT
Hi...
3 Years ago I started to plan the build of a Mercedes SLT Truck Here's a sample picture:  The build started in October 2015, I bought a Actros 1851 Kit and some additional parts like axles and frames.  The plan was to create the most parts on my own.

My first milestone was to correct the measures of the stairs. I don't know why, but the stairs are different.

Next milestone: The Side plates of the technical tower
Let's start with the left side...   Copy the line of the cabin  Cutting the styreen plate following the line  Follow up the lines of the cabin  Cutting the outer lines  Adding an angle at the top to follow the cabin  Lower the middle part     Adding a double layer at the top to get the rounding   Last step, a border

The next huge milestone: The tower
To join the parts of the tower I decided to create "shoes" for the connection points. They have more stability.           Placed on the frame    The holdings for the side plates

The diesel and hydraulic oil tanks
         Two additional storage boxes (one will be modifed later) and one removed again.    The boxes were planned to have the electronic parts, but that decission was changed later.

After some test with the steering and some searches in the internet I decided to lift up the first fender by 5mm so that the tire no longer touches the fender if weight lies on the frame.

Next step with a lot of work, I wanted to change the mirror holdings. The solution of Tamiya is a real joke.
So I started to model some brass.
