Hi Howie.

I make the beams from usually 1/4 in MDF, depending on type of beam or box girder. Some of them i make from hardwood. The Beam on this is MDF.

That's a very creative and economical way of doing it, get thinking!

Also, in case anybody is wondering, MDF = medium density fiberboard.

I like your setup. It looks realistic. How many cups of coffee did it take to calculate the pivot points.

Not even half a cup of coffee . Got the idea in my head, no time to waste.
Grab the material cut and drill, bolt it on and try it. I was very surprised when i found out it was working. I got so occupied so when i looked up a saw half a cup coffee still on the bench........ice-cold. I was expecting a lot more trail and error, Some days are better than others.
