What are you using for an induction motor/fan?

Thanks Reg, Rob and Joe. My daughter loves to clean up the granular rubber at the shows, along with driving so I figured this would be a great way for her to accomplish both and give me something to build that I had been thinking of for quite a long time.

Joe, I bought a cheap handheld cordless vac with the plans of using it as a donor, just to see if it would work......well it works but not to my standard so I plan on spending a bit more on another to get a more powerful fan and better impeller. I may also look into an induction fan for planes.

..induction fan for planes ...funny you should mention that, somebody on Scale showed a build yesterday using such a suction device.

Great build so far. Not sure I would let your daughter pic out the color scheme. Hate to see you show up at a show with a pink truck without your daughter there to drive it.

Funny Lynn......I asked and she said blue and black...sheww....we may be able to make that work .

I put in a new 18V vac motor and intake, reworked the hopper and I've got suction now, installed a dump servo and Firgelli to raise send lower the vac housing. Now I'm happy with it! Now I can proceed with electronics and exterior details.

Vac trucks' all painted, slowly going back together. Just got 2 more cylinders for the compactor. I've been too busy with work to play.
