Yep, that 22B is factory correct for paint. Always liked their color combo.

I'm loving all the hatches on the crane house. It's looking killer!
Yep, that's the factory livery, always thought it looked sharp. Are you going to continue it on the crane carrier too, or have something different in mind for it?

If I had the choice when I started my build, I would have used copper and brass. But at the time it would have been too expensive. Also. I just completed the last panels on the crane housing ![]() But it the process I slipped with a xacto knife and destroyed the hinges for the hatch. So i will have to redo them later ![]() ![]() I can now focus all my attention on the mechanical parts of this project. Shawn |

Unfortunately, I have not. This project has been abandoned for while now. I pulled it off the shelf a couple years ago and dropped the crane house on the floor and it shattered
![]() To top it off all the my design files for it are in a program I no longer use. I still have all the reference material saved on my computer so I can redesign it in the future. But other projects have taken forefront. Here is some photos of what I have slowly been working no. It's a model of a Michigan C16. I plain to model the air controls. Pneumatic clutches, brakes, on board air compressor and tank. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This is a 3d printed pattern and core box for the bucket. It will be cast in brass or bronze. I still need to sand, fill and paint it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() -Shawn- Last edited by Krewmember; 02-02-2024 at 04:34 PM. |

That's a shame about the Bucyrus Erie, As you can see I'm partial to the old truck cranes.
But keep us up to date on this one....Love to watch these come together |

That is some very nice work! I am really interested in seeing how your cast bucket works out. I've seen guys use 3d printing to make the pattern for lost 'plastic' casting, but don't think I've seen any one make the mold itself for molten metal casting. Please keep us updated.
