Re: Gravel screener build
The feed hopper is looking great! Nice work.
I also used a tamiya vibration motor on my feed chute. Controlled by a radio channel so I have complete control of what speed to use. There's another very cheap way to have very good speed control. I like it so much, I bought a few and use for testing stuff and in projects. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/New-DC-6V-90V...gAAOSwWTRWwppP |

Re: Gravel screener build
I'm going to have to do another test run before the weather changes. Its going to be sunny tomorrow but a little rain is suppose to pass threw. So before it does I need to find out if its going to need some more modifications.

Re: Gravel screener build
So here goes my test run. I shot 2 videos, the first run and then I tinkered with it and shot another. I wound up changing the elevation of it seeing the ground was pitched to wrong way and it seems to work fine. Other than a few thing here and there.

Re: Gravel screener build
I got it to work from your photo site.
Looks like you got something there. That conveyor sure needs a lower angle though. I hope to be working on something like this soon too. |

Re: Gravel screener build
It's working now I could view the video, thinking it was a photobucket issue. That's a very good fisrt test! Can you adjust the conveyor belt to be at a horizontal angle instead of being angled ? The rocks seem to be accumulating at the bottom and not staying on the conveyor belt. Trummel speed is good but I think the vibrator needs to be sped up more to get things shaking and moving along and maybe more of angle to help it feed the trummel ?

Re: Gravel screener build
Yesterday was a good day. I had the opportunity to meet up with Bigford and make good use of the layout.
Seeing Reg's trailer in person was really impressive, It looks as if he has a shrinking devise in his shop and fools everyone that he builds them. That trailer was absolutely beautiful, every thing on it was perfect!. Looking forward to more enjoyable weekends like this.http:// |
