Tanque is on a distinguished road
Default Greetings new guy here..

Hello I've just joined, my name is Jerry. I'm primarily a military vehicle guy, armor in 1/10 and 1/16. The aspect that is instigating a crossover are the military trucks which have been appearing on the market lately. Cross, Capo and others as well as a long standing 'oldtimer' vehicle I've wanted for years and only recently acquired examples of: a 1/10 scale version of the German WWII vintage
Kaelble Z6W2A 130 and Type 80 'Gotha' lowboy trailer.

I also have several other trucks including the Capo Tatra 8x8, Cross 8x8, 6x6 and 4x4 kit as well as the Kingkong 1/12 Scale Soviet ZIS-150. They are a great break from my tank work in in the case of the Kaelble actually work with them.

I've been involved with RC since the mid 1970s but I hope to learn something here and perhaps even contribute.

Jerry

Thanks, I have 3 of the Kaelble trucks. They're about 50 pounds fully completed. I've been working on making the rear axles functional on the third; it as well as my second was sold as a display version meaning the frame, cab and, basic suspension but no power, transmission or functional axles in fact no running gear at all. The axles are unusual as one one side is driven normally- left wheel pair on the first, right wheel pair on second or rearmost axle. There is a locker to engage both sides and the wheels are driven through a planetary gear. All the guts are what I've been building out.

I have a reasonable machine shop with smaller machines and I do my own foundry work.

Some of my other projects:
