Thanks TC I will try..What do you guys think about mounting a spare tire to the left of the exhaust? I havent seen a pic of a spre mounted their on a 1:1, but I always liked the look of it??Also my plan of making it look rusted just went out the window as I was looking around on google images and came across a sales add from back in the day and it said these cabs were aluminum and the lower skirts were made from fiberglass.. I guess I will have to paint it in an aluminum color and then paint over that and then sand away some of the top coat leaving the aluminum exposed which should look prety cool!

Yea just a tire is what I was thinking, but whey do they only have a tire no rim as a spare on semis? is it so they could use it front or rear?? I have never been a trucker so kinda new to this stuff

lot of the guys I know around here do that . Lighter I guess they change the tire right on the truck with out taking the rim off unless the inner duel blows . I've done it once or twice , it's a PITA

I had ran snap-on for a while and one day I pulled into an older fellas one man shop and he was on his way up his graveled drive way to get on the truck. All of a sudden their was a huge bang and a giant plume of dust and the guy disappeared(it scared the **** out of me) then calmly the old man walkes out of the dust and sayes I think your tire blew out?????LOL..I wish I had one of thes on my truck at the time it would have saved me alot of money..

so thats one thing I wount have to worrie with on this rig!

Interesting 5th wheel. What is that from and what did you make your tanks from? Lovin' the ingenuity used here. Had a second read through and the grab rails, well, I would imagine that drilling the holes in the flat ends must have been a royal pain in the butt!

thanks guys. As for the sth wheel its from a bruder truck, but it isnt the one I will be using for the build. I plan to get a tamiya 5th wheel from joes truckstop soon. And drilling out the grab rails were a bit of a pain in the rear LOl oh the tank is an old pill bottle with one end cut off and some styrene glued to it. I have an update on the tank mount so stay tuned for some pics..
