All the previous unboxing videos I've seen on youtube came with a nice wooden box. Wanted to show how the recently shipped boxes come now. Also notice the front bucket ram PIN is installed where as before you would need to put that on yourself. Now the new foam box is very well packed as you can see in the video. My initial reaction was, wow this is heavy, especially the rear end. That's probably why it has so much lifting power. There is no sound module card (that's expected from rc4wd) but there is a speaker installed already with wires coming out from it. So installing a card should be a piece of cake. It looks very well built. They revised the colors. The rear radiator grill and engine handle bars are now Gray instead of yellow. I think that really changed the way the machine looks. I already filled it up with oil and started her up. The pump noise is much louder than my pc700 and cat740. The valve control is not that precise compared to my pc700 equipped with Premacon valves. It's hard to describe but when you move the stick very slightly, the rams don't move and I can hear the pump noise struggling so slightly. If you move the stick a little more, the cylinders start to move but not at the expected slow speed you want. This is the same for all 3 valves. Full disclosure, I am running mobil dte24 (ISO 32) and when I asked around including Mr Tang from eagle, he said it will be ok as long as it's not too cold outside. I live in Los Angeles so I think I should be fine with that. Here is a video of the valve control. https://youtu.be/eyyLs9oaXl8 (Update to the above issue, I unscrewed the pressure relief valve maybe half a turn and that solved the issue above) Now comparing to my pc700 or cat740, the stick movements reflect 100% on the cylinders movement as one would expect. This review was based on 10minutes of run time. So I will edit as more running time goes on. Last edited by liftmys10; 12-28-2017 at 02:05 PM. |

I like the grill painted gray, now you need to get some puppet drivers for your machines. When you find some let me know cause I could use a few.

No this isn’t the 360L interior. I bought this interior from TTM for my 4200XL since it doesn’t come with one.

That bucket looks different than the stock bucket that came with mine. Where did you source it from?

I made 2 videos today. One showing how I setup my radio and the other mimic practicing loading/dumping dirt.
One thing I don't mention in the video is I moved all the fwd/rev and steering on the right stick. The boom and bucket is on the left stick. The room is small so the pump noise is a lot louder than what it would sound outdoors. https://youtu.be/3iA42F_aj68 https://youtu.be/YO8kvgzzAs8 Last edited by liftmys10; 12-28-2017 at 12:48 AM. |

JD customs has built a good machine, but the radio settings and some of the mechanical settings like the pressure relief valve were questionable. Once these were massaged, it was much more predictable and controllable. I prefer having all the drive sticks on the right side (similar to how a plane flys) and the bucket and arm left stick. I will add to this that the pump motor, speed control and servos work much cooler now. You can touch the pump motor with your finger for as long as you want after running it for half an hour. Now I know why they took the rear fan out. Plus it makes room for the Lipo. Surprisingly the electronics run very efficient. Only the drive esc and motor will get warm if you use it in 2nd gear which is expected and totally normal. Thanks Brandon. I'm pretty sure if I kept the default settings, parts would start to fail. |

Standard grocery bag is just over 17".
Max reach to the bucket pivot point according to rc4wd is 18" I did some rough dimensions comparing to the dimensions of full size cat 980h (pretty much the same as liugong clg888) and the result is 870k is much closer to 1:12 scale. Not 1:14 as advertised. ![]() |
