Alright, I will try that. Thanks!

As for the motor; could I use this motor/gearbox?
https://www.pololu.com/product/73

And if that one would be alright (enough torque, big enough motor, too many/little rpms, correct voltage, etc…) what kind of esc should I use, or could I just use any? And it says something on there about stalling causing overheating so that makes me wary.

Basically I am running 4 of these in my Bruder loader and compactor. https://www.pololu.com/product/1586 I buy them from eBay though because it is much cheaper. If you want more power you could go with the high output version with a slightly lower ratio. https://www.pololu.com/product/1577 The last ones are powerful enough to destroy their own gearboxes if locked up on 7.2v. I like the less powerful ones for this because they will stall without breakage and that also helps with steering.

Thanks!!! So a few questions: if I got the high output would it make it slower? And the last ones you mentioned are the 12v?? So I couldn't use them on a 11 mah battery? And if you're running 4 of the motors like you said, that means four esc's right? And what's an encoder? I saw that they have an option to come with one. Is that the thing that connects to the esc and/or receiver?

The ones I mentioned are 6v. You can get 12v options though. I think you mean 11.1V battery? 6v would scream on that but 12v would be fine. Just a bit slower than the rated speed at 12v. One $11 esc for all 4 motors like I explained in the other thread. You don't want an encoder....

Thanks (: Hmmmm, I didn't know as much as I thought I did
Um…does the voltage of the battery=the voltage of the motor ideally? Like if I have a 12v motor I need a 12v battery? And if I have more than one 12v motor, do I have to get a bigger battery? And how do 4 motors connect to one esc?
Sorry for all the annoying questions, I've watched many tutorials on the basics of motors and rc and stuff, but I didn't understand them.
Thanks guys (:

If you have a 12volt motor and put a 7.22v battery on it for example it will just run slower with less torque. Gearheads are efficient with battery power you'll be surprised how long a battery will last, try with a 2200mah battery first and see how it goes. As for wiring to esc just get all the red wires from the motors and join them to the red wire on the esc then do the same with the black ones.

Cool, thanks. I got the wiring to the esc part, but as far as the battery things: so i could run two of those 6v gear motors that rcp said off of a 11.1 volt battery?
And the wire for wiring the motor to the esc is just regular copper wire (maybe stereo wire) from the hardware store? Does it have to be a specific gauge?
Thanks guys.
