Default 16 channel and up radio/ lighting questions

working on a b-double project and need a radio and lighting setup. i want to run the truck and both trailers independantly with no wires between them. so the landing gear, 5th wheels, trailer brakes (if i can figure some out) chicken lights, and all the normal lighting will need to function while hooked up or not

i like the graupner mc28 hott + kingbus radio as it has buttons already figured out for the lights and all that, but it's unavailable. so what else is there? i just heard about harbor models which has a unit that can go to 16 channels, plus it's fm band so i can run multiple receivers easily.

2nd lighting: while i like the mfu, i still need to transmit the signal to the trailers, so i think that leaves mfu out. ss-tronix looks to be out of business, so what's left?

i'd like dedicated systems vs infra red or bluetooth as i've read the 'tooth has to be paired every time

oh and since this thread is worthless without pics (wrong tractor though... that's snowman's truck, just borrowed it for mockup, correct one is triple axle):
